The Clown Car – Blog Carnival

First, the specifics:

WHAT: The Clown Car, a humor blog carnival!
WHEN: Submissions are due by the 25^th of each month at Midnight CST, with new editions going live on the 1^st of the next month.
WHERE: Oh come on, really? I’m hosting it here on WalterShumate.net.
NO, JERK, WHERE DO I SUBMIT: Oh, sorry. Submissions can be sent through The Clown Car’s BlogCarnival page.
WHY, DEAR LORD, WHY: Now, that takes a little bit more of an explanation.

I love the idea of a blog carnival, mainly because I’m a big ol’ attention hound. I also love reading funny stuff, and I know my readers do, too. I’ve been using Blog Carnival for quite a while now, and I’m enough of a me-too’er to start my own carnival. Each month, I plan to showcase the 10-15 funniest submissions I get AND declare an overall winner, using the highly-scientific approach of choosing the one that makes me spit the most Coke out of my nose.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES: These are easy, and can basically be boiled down to “Don’t be a doofus.”

• Post original content from your own blog. I will be checking.
• Your blog must be at least sixty (60) days old. That doesn’t mean sixty days’ worth of posts.
• The post can be an essay, short story, fiction or nonfiction, as long as it’s funny.
• “Blue” humor is acceptable, but be forewarned that I will post a warning with the link to your post.
• Give me some semblance of writing skills. I don’t mind the occasional speling error, tpyo or run-on sentence, but at least put the effort into it.
